Tyler Keith, MSW, LCSW
Tyler Keith (he/him) is a skilled therapist and Clinical Director at Clarity Counseling Center. He oversees clinical training and development while ensuring our providers have the guidance and support they need to provide excellent care.
A well-traveled soul, Tyler has planted roots here in Wilmington, NC. He specializes in helping adults heal from childhood trauma and supporting families with young children through conflict. Known for his goofy, carefree spirit, Tyler also brings sharp clinical skill and a data-driven mind to his work.
Tyler is trained in EMDR and nationally rostered in Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP). He takes a holistic, whole-system approach, integrating evidence-based practices including Circle of Security, Somatic Therapy, and Parts Work.
Tyler specializes in helping adults heal from childhood trauma. Early experiences often leave lasting patterns of self-doubt, people-pleasing, and the painful mix of craving closeness yet fearing it. With a steady, supportive approach, Tyler helps clients untangle these patterns, reclaim a stronger sense of self, and build relationships that feel safe and nurturing.
Tyler is skilled in helping young children through family separation. Kids in these tender years often show their worries through clinginess, outbursts, or pulling away while quietly carrying fears of loss or blame. With a gentle and playful approach, Tyler helps them express their feelings, and build the secure connections they need to grow and thrive.
Tyler partners with families to break cycles of trauma and build a healthier family culture. By working with both parents and children, he strengthens relationships through play and meaningful conversation, helping create new patterns. His approach gives caregivers corrective experiences and guidance in their parenting, so they can respond with steadiness and love. As parents grow, kids feel more secure, outbursts ease, and family life feels lighter and more connected.
Fun Fact: Tyler enjoys gardening, cooking and spending time with his two huskies.
