Sara is originally a mountain girl from Southwest Virginia. She loves working with adults and college students and in sessions, she has a quiet calm and approachability that makes you want to open up.
Sara’s treatment philosophy is: I believe every client has the potential to work toward a positive change.
Sara is passionate about working with anxiety suffers of al kinds and specializes in working with individuals struggling with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Whether you’re experiencing intrusive and unwanted thoughts, feelings or physiological sensations that lead to anxiety, guilt, and distress, these unwanted internal experiences often result in repetitive, time-consuming, and painful ritualistic behaviors. Sara help individuals suffering in relationships, at work, at school and overall have poor quality of life, take their lives back. OCD is a treatable well-researched disorder – help is available.
Sara specializes in working with college students who are feeling depressed– those struggling with perfectionism, feeling like they are “enough”, and experiencing heaps of negative self talk.
Sara also loves working with individuals who have experienced grief or loss. She believes that each person’s experience is unique, personal, and important. Events both large and small can elicit a grief response: death, divorce, breakups, loss of a job, change in job, death of a fur baby, miscarriage, anniversary of a loss, and more. Grief can feel like it has no end -Sara helps individuals find their future.
Fun Fact: Sara loves going to concerts and spending time outside in nature.
