Mikayla Tittsworth, LCMHC

A Virginia native, Mikayla is someone who is excited to call Wilmington home. Mikayla specializes in working with adults with ADHD, autism, and/or anxiety. In sessions, Mikayla is authentic and direct. Her approach is neurodiversity-affirming and collaborative to work with your brain, not against it, with the goal of helping you thrive rather than simply cope.

Mikayla is a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Support Provider. She tailors her therapeutic approach to meet each of her client’s unique, individual needs, as her treatment approach is rooted in evidence-based practices including Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy.

Mikayla is an expert in autism who works alongside neurodivergent adults who feel anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck in their relationships, work, or daily routines.

If your brain never seems to turn off

If small tasks feel bigger than they “should”…

If you replay conversations for hours

If friendships or workplace dynamics feel confusing or exhausting…

If you swing between burnout and pushing yourself too hard…

You are not alone.

Mikayla helps you understand how your mind works so life feels steadier and more manageable. Together, you will build practical tools to handle daily stress, follow through on what matters to you, strengthen relationships, and end your day feeling less drained. For parents supporting their neurodivergent children who feel stretched thin, she helps you communicate your needs clearly, shift family patterns that are not working, and create a home life that feels calmer and more connected.

Mikayla also specializes in working with adults navigating ADHD. You may feel scattered, overwhelmed, or frustrated with how your brain works, starting things with energy and struggling to follow through, losing track of time, or feeling emotions that shift quickly and intensely. Over time, this can leave you feeling misunderstood or like you are always behind. Mikayla helps you understand how your brain is wired so you can stop fighting it and start building simple, realistic systems that make daily life feel more focused, steady, and doable.

Mikayla enjoys working with individuals struggling with anxiety of all kinds, especially Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD). Mikayla helps those experiencing an endless stream of worried thoughts regain peace of mind. Mikayla helps her clients to quiet the constant worry and overwhelming thoughts using techniques rooted in ACT & CBT.

Fun Fact: Mikayla can do a strangely accurate British accent – despite having never set foot in England!
