Mandy is a Milwaukee native who traveled the globe before planting roots in Wilmington, NC. She works with adults navigating trauma, anxious overwhelm, and ADHD. In sessions, Mandy balances humor with a steady, grounding presence, creating a space where you can be fully heard and supported without judgment.

Mandy’s treatment foundation is evidence-based and customized to fit each client’s individual needs. Mandy  pulls from therapeutic techniques rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Adlerian therapy, and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

Mandy specializes in working with adults in high stress, trauma exposed roles, including law enforcement and medical professionals. Her career in law enforcement spanned 25 years before she shifted into counseling, giving her deep insight into the weight of protecting others while carrying things alone. Mandy creates space to speak freely without filtering or minimizing. Her work supports you in releasing pressure and reconnecting with yourself beyond the role.

Mandy is skilled in supporting adults whose anxiety leads to overwhelm, avoidance, and feeling stuck. When your mind will not slow down and your body shuts down, even daily life can start to feel unmanageable. Mandy helps clients understand what is fueling the anxiety, step out of survival mode, and find ways to refill their cup beyond just pushing through. Her work supports clients in feeling more capable, present, and able to reconnect with life outside of constant pressure.

Mandy is passionate in her care with adults with ADHD who feel lost, misunderstood, or stuck in a cycle of self blame. Many adults have learned to cope quietly for years, only to feel like those strategies collapse under stress. Mandy helps clients explore how ADHD shapes their experiences, reduce shame, and speak up for what they need with intention. Her work focuses on helping clients feel more grounded, self trusting, and aligned rather than constantly fighting their own brain.

Fun Fact: Mandy is a DIY’er who has taught herself how to do her own home repairs and remodeling day dreams, and she has the power tools and saws to prove it!
