Emma Oswald, LCMHCA

Emma is a well traveled soul, and she is happy to now call our small beach town of Wilmington, NC home! She specializes in working with teens and adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, as well as adults who are experiencing romantic relationship challenges. In sessions, Emma is steady, thoughtful, and empowering.

Emma’s treatment foundation is evidence-based and customized to fit each client’s individual needs. Emma pulls from therapeutic techniques rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Therapy (MI) and Reality Therapy.

Emma is skilled in working with teens and adults who struggle with anxiety, especially patterns of overthinking and self doubt. Anxiety can make it hard to trust yourself, replay interactions over and over, or avoid trying new things out of fear of getting it wrong. Emma offers a supportive, practical approach to help clients recognize unhelpful thought patterns, challenge them with intention, and build skills that support clearer thinking and greater confidence in daily life.

Emma is passionate in her care with teens and adults experiencing depression, especially when life starts to feel heavier or unfamiliar. Depression can show up as an unshakeable low mood, losses of motivation, or disconnection from yourself and your goals. Emma helps clients reconnect with what matters, build supportive relationships, and move forward with greater clarity and purpose.

Emma specializes in providing individual therapy for adults navigating the challenges of dating, relationships, and emotional connection. When relationships feel confusing, discouraging, or painful, it can be tempting to shut down or pull away. Emma offers a one on one, supportive space to explore what healthy relationships mean for you as an individual. Through this work, she helps clients rebuild confidence and develop clearer, more intentional ways of showing up in relationships so connection feels possible and grounded again.

Fun Fact: Emma is a huge animal lover, and she has a beagle named Bailey.
