Lizzie Danger, LCSWA
Lizzie is a Four Oaks, NC native who is happy to bring her bubbly personality to our quaint coastal town of Wilmington, NC. She specializes in working with adults navigating ADHD, chronic worry, and social anxiety, especially those trying therapy for the first time. Her playful style helps sessions feel relaxed, while her curiosity and directness provide the kind of clear guidance that helps you stop feeling like you have to figure everything out on your own.
Lizzie’s treatment foundation is evidence-based and customized to fit each client’s individual needs, as she pulls from therapeutic techniques rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); Motivational Interview (MI), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
Lizzie is passionate in her care with adults with ADHD. Lizzie understands that living with ADHD can feel like juggling a dozen tabs open in your brain at once. She helps individuals untangle the overwhelm, build structure, and celebrate their unique strengths so they can move from chaos to clarity without losing their spark.
Lizzie is skilled in her work with young adults navigating general, chronic worries in life- especially those who are new to therapy. Whether you are starting college, stepping into a new job, or feeling stuck in constant “what if” thinking, Lizzie helps you slow the spiral and find your footing again. She guides people in understanding the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors so worry stops running the show. Lizzie believes learning how to manage worry is a skill, and she is here to help you build it with practical tools that actually work.
Lizzie also specializes in working with adults who struggle with social anxiety. It can feel exhausting to constantly dread how you are coming across, replay conversations in your head, or avoid situations because you are afraid of being judged. Lizzie helps people challenge harsh self talk, build confidence in social situations, and gradually face the fears that keep them feeling stuck. Together, the goal is to quiet the voice of self doubt and help you feel more comfortable being yourself around others.
Fun Fact: Lizzie enjoys all things crafty, especially painting, embroidery, and even collecting shark teeth!
