Acacia Warren, LCMHCA

Acacia is a Mississippi native who is excited to call this coastal town home. She enjoys working with children, adolescents, and young adults navigating anxiety, trauma, and depression. In session, Acacia brings a calm, warm, and grounded presence, balancing her gentle nature with clear, assertive communication to help clients feel safe, supported, and challenged in meaningful ways.

Acacia’s treatment approach is evidence-based and individualized, tailoring interventions to meet each client’s unique needs and developmental stage. She integrates techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Play-Based Therapy, Attachment Theory, The Needs Cycle, and Social Learning Theory. Acacia also has significant experience working with individuals in the BIPOC community and holds training in Youth Mental Health First Aid.

Acacia specializes in working with adolescents and young adults experiencing anxiety, including generalized anxiety and specific phobias. She helps clients identify anxiety patterns, understand the thoughts and behaviors that maintain distress, and develop practical coping tools to increase confidence, emotional regulation, and daily functioning.

In addition, Acacia is known for her therapeutic skill in supporting children, adolescents, and young adults with a history of trauma, including childhood trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Many of the clients she supports feel like their bodies and emotions are still reacting to things that are no longer happening, making it hard to feel calm, confident, or at ease in everyday life. Acacia helps clients gently untangle these experiences at a pace that feels manageable, so the past no longer has to run the present. Through thoughtful, relationship centered work, clients begin to feel more grounded, more in control of their reactions, and better able to trust themselves and the world around them.

Acacia is passionate about her work with adolescents and young adults experiencing depression, especially when life keeps changing. She gets how challenging it is to feel numb, unmotivated, or disconnected, often without knowing why. Acacia helps them slow down, make sense of what they’re carrying, and gently shift the beliefs that keep them feeling stuck. Over time, clients often begin to feel more like themselves again, with a clearer sense of direction and hope.

Fun Fact: Acacia loves spending time with her dog outdoors.
